NYE 2012 in Atlanta!

It’s the time of year again! After the turkeys and Christmas trees have had their days it’ll be time to celebrate the end of 2012 and the beginning of 2013.

Whether it’s an amazing dinner or a big club bash, Atlanta knows how to ring in the new year! Here’s a list of some fun options for when the ball drops this year.

Parties:

Park Tavern - NYE with Yacht Rock Revue (Midtown). 8pm. $99. All-inclusive drinks and food, including fresh sushi, gourmet hors d’ouvres and s’mores. Rock into 2013 with smooth grooves of Yacht Rock Revue overlooking the gorgeous ATL skyline!

Atlanta Symphony NYE. 8pm. $30+. Crooner and pianist Tony DeSare and his trio bring you into 2013 with this memorable night at the symphony!

Peach Drop - Underground ATL (Downtown) 11am to 3am (1/1/13). FREE! Fun family activities all day, live bands from 6pm to Midnight, Abbey Road Live rings in the New Year!

Cypress Street NYE (Midtown) 8pm. $10+. Free well bar + house beer 9-10pm. Midnight breakfast buffet and champagne toast.

RA Sushi RAckin’ NYE (Midtown) 7pm. FREE! Live DJ, food and drink specials all night, special themed menu items and more!

Michelle Malone Band at Eddie’s Attic (Decatur) 7pm/9:30pm shows. $20+. Live music show, a great alternative to hotel parties! Gareth Asher joins for the 9:30pm show.

Aja’s Midnight Mayhem(Buckhead) 9pm. $20+. From the TAP guys - $3 Bud Lights all night long, drink specials, music and more.

New Beer’s Eve - Front Page News (Little Five). 9pm-1am. $40+. Food, drinks, 20+ beer choices, and live music.

Edgewood Speakeasy (Old Fourth Ward) 10pm-2am. $45+. DJ music, pizza buffet, champagne toast and photobooth.

Dinners:
4th and Swift (Midtown) Various seatings. $85+. 5-course prix fixe menu by Jay Swift. Final menu to be confirmed in late December.

BLT Steak (Downtown) Various seatings. $60. 3-course blackboard prix fixe menu, add $30 for wine pairings.

CinéBistro (Brookhaven) 11pm. Watch the Times Square ball drop on the big screen with a broadcast live. Complimentary dessert tasting and champagne toast at midnight.  In addition to the regular menu, a chef menu will be available for all guests, including those not seeing a movie, and will include a “preview” appetizer, “featured” entrée and dessert. Specialty selected champagne splits and full bottles will also be available for purchase.

Cucina Asellina(Midtown) 6pm/8pm/10pm seatings. $60. 3-course prix fixe menu, Moet champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight.

Eleven at Loew’s (Midtown). Two menus 6-8:30pm (4-courses). 9-11pm (5-course). $75+. Highlights from both menus include Pacific and Atlantic oysters with caviar and yuzu pearls, Kobe beef short rib with local cheddar polenta fritter and wild mushroom ragout, sous vide lobster and blue prawn with herbed potatoes and spinach custard, and wood-fired grilled lamb sirloin with cannelloni beans and smoked garlic jus. A decadent dessert offering and wine pairing options will accompany each menu as well.

Kaleidescope Pub (Brookhaven) 5pm to close. $20.12. 3-course meal, food and drink specials all night long, live DJ, champagne toast, and more.

Livingston (Midtown) 9pm-Midnight. $55. Chef Zeb Stevenson prepares a tasty 5-course tasting menu, party in the bar area with a champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight!

Melting Pot (various location) Various seatings. $50+/wine pairings - add $20. Two 4-course menu options that both include salad, cheese and chocolate fondue. The “Ultimate Celebration” menu features and entrée selection of cold-water lobster tail, top-choice sirloin, mahi mahi, breast of chicken and wild mushroom sacchetti. The “Toast the 2013” menu features an eight ounce filet mignon, citrus marinated pork tenderloin, Atlantic salmon, breast of chicken, white shrimp and wild mushroom sacchetti.

No. 246 (Decatur) Various seatings. $55. 4-course menu by Chef Drew Belline that will include local cauliflower panna cotta with frothy sea urchin sweet butter, Osetra caviar soft herbs and brioche; Nantucket Bay scallop carpaccio with Meyer lemon, local crispy parsnips with Tennessee black truffles, butter poached Maine lobster with young fennel, blood orange, tarragon, olives and arugula, and brie and white chocolate cheesecake with roasted pears and walnut nougatine.

The Optimist (Westside) Various seatings. $65. 4-course prix fixe menu that features menu items such as shrimp pop tarts, baked Virginia oysters with spinach, bacon, preserved lemon and parmesan cheese, grouper with white wine steamed clams, lump crab meat, leeks, baby bok choy and lemon, and banana custard pocket pie with pralines and cream ice cream and salted pecans.

The Pinewood Dinner/Party (Decatur) 7pm. $55+. 5-course prix fixe dinner and cocktail party, live DJ, craft cocktail bar, champagne toast at midnight.

Serpas (Old Fourth Ward) Various seatings. $70+. 4-course prix fixe dinner, including dishes such as shellfish stew, red fish, foie gras, stone crab claws and more, leading up to a celebratory champagne toast for the countdown.

The Shed (Glenwood)- 4pm to Midnight. ($65 4-course meal with champagne toast). Amazing food and a great way to ring in the new year! How can 2013 be bad when you start it off with their homemade ding dong?

South City Kitchen (Midtown) 5-10pm. $42+. 3-course southern-style prix fixe menu. Check out the delicious course options online!

Southern Art (Buckhead) Various seatings. $75/$100 with wine pairings. 4-course prix fixe menu TBA. Complimentary champagne with dinner, another glass at midnight.

STK Atlanta (Midtown) 6pm/8pm/10pm seatings. $90. 4-course prix fixe menu featuring STK’s most popular dishes. 10pm seating - champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight.

Three Blind Mice (Lilburn) Various seatings. $50. Chef Matthew Murphy presents a 3-course prix fixe menu featuring seasonally inspired dishes such as ream of cauliflower soup with roasted mushrooms and shallot confit; pan-roasted double cut Kurobuta pork chop with caramelized turnips, Brussels sprouts, slow-cooked shallots and red wine prune sauce; and chicken Francese with creamy orzata and sautéed garlic spinach. A decadent dessert offering will include cinnamon crème brulee, sticky toffee pudding,tiramisu and apple fritters.

Watershed (Buckhead) Various seatings. $75. 4-courses with champagne toast from Chef Joe Truex. Check out the amazing menu online!

Woodfire Grill (Cheshire Bridge) Various seatings. $100+. Special 5-course vegetarian and pescatarian menus, with their regular 5-course tasting menu
