ThinkPenguin is a retailer of computers, peripherals, and accessories. The company has one core goal: improve support for GNU/Linux and free software. Our vision of the future is one where the masses can pick up a computer running entirely free software and utilize it with ease.
As part of this endeavour ThinkPenguin is working with the community and a variety of organizations to pressure critical companies in the design and manufacture of hardware to release more code.
With the communities support we’ve been able to hire developers and begin to improve the situation. Thanks to the initial support there is now a wide variety of hardware readily available that works out of the box with free and mostly free systems.
