KEIRA KNIGHTLEY married Klaxons musician James Righton in the South of France today. The bride wore a Chanel couture spring/summer 2006 pale grey tulle, bustier dress that came to the knee ( see the dress on the catwalk). The actress accessorised her dress with a white tweed jacket created especially by Karl Lagerfeld, as well as Chanel pink and grey ballet pumps and a floral garland which sat on top of her loose hair.

The low-key ceremony - which was held in front of just 11 guests - took place at a town hall in Mazan, 12 miles from Marseille. This afternoon, the reception will be hosted at a house owned by Knightley's mother, playwright Sharman MacDonald, in a marquee erected in the garden. Over 50 guests are expected to attend, including fellow actress Sienna Miller.

The Vogue cover girl and actress announced news of her engagement in May 2012 and was soon afterwards seen wearing a brilliant-cut solitaire diamond ring. Knightley recently described wedding planning as "terrifying", telling US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres in November that she had turned to the internet for help.

Rumours about her wedding dress have been circulating since August 2012, when Karl Lagerfeld offered to design her bridal gown. Knightley didn't confirm or deny the speculation, telling us in September 2012 that "it would be pretty generous of him". Speculation developed over the weekend that the star's dress was designed by Rodarte, due to its close resemblance to an outfit that the actress wore to a BAFTA party in 2008, although the rumours were quickly clarified by Chanel.

The 28-year-old actress started dating her now-husband just over two years ago, after they were reportedly introduced by mutual friend Alexa Chung.
