Hazard identified

It has been determined that a small bushing inside the container has the potential to leach lead.

Lead is highly toxic and can enter the body through the digestive system or the lungs. It accumulates in the body and can damage almost all body systems, especially the nervous system. Lead is toxic to children even at low exposure levels and has also been shown to have the potential to cause intellectual and behavioural deficits in children. Potential health effects associated with exposure to high levels of lead include vomiting, diarrhea, convulsions, coma or even death.

Neither Health Canada nor Focus Group have received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this product.
