Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Food Service Workers I who perform a variety of tasks in the preparation and serving of food. Duties include supervised, simple food preparation tasks, such as preparing sandwiches, salads, fruits, and desserts; setting up the cafeteria for food service and serving meals; restocking and replenishing serving line, dishes, condiments, and work area supplies; operating dishwashers and other kitchen equipment; washing and putting away utensils, pots, and pans; cleaning, sweeping and mopping floors; assisting with the set-up and serving at catered events; delivering food trays to patients; and serving as a resource to the public.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
 
Certification: A valid Food Handler's card issued by the County of San Bernardino is required at the time of hire.

Minimum Requirements

Experience: Six (6) months of full-time food service experience in a restaurant, fast food establishment, cafeteria, hotel, banquet room, hospital, correctional facility kitchen, school, military, senior living facility or similar environment.

Desired Qualifications

English/Spanish bilingual skills and experience in a healthcare setting is highly desired.
