Ottawa, September 25, 2013 - The public warning issued on September 24th, 2013 has been updated to include additional packed on dates.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Farm Boy 2012 Inc. are warning people with allergies to eggs or milk not to consume the Farm Boy brand Plain Croissants described below. The affected product contains eggs and milk which are not declared on the label.

There has been one reported illness associated with the consumption of this product.

Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to eggs or milk.

The retailer, Farm Boy 2012 Inc., Ottawa, ON, is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
