The product is a decorative ring of green foliage and berries to be placed around the base of a candle. The UPC code is 086860 025588. The SKU number for retail stores in Canada and the USA is 1271518.
Hazard identified
The Yankee Candle Company, Inc. has identified through testing that this product does not meet flammability requirements for a candle accessory.
Neither Health Canada nor The Yankee Candle Company, Inc. has received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
Number sold
Approximately 25 of the recalled products have been sold at Home Hardware Stores across Canada and approximately 529 were sold in the United States at various retailers.
Time period sold
The recalled Candle Ring was sold from September 24, 2013 to November 18, 2013 in Canada and the United States.
Place of origin
