The agent of Joao Mario has confirmed Liverpool's bid for the Sporting CP star.

The Sporting star's father broke the news of a bid from Jurgen Klopp's side earlier this week.

And Kia Joorabchian told Record: "Sporting received four proposals.

"Inter Milan and Liverpool [came in] with values between €35m (£29.4m) and €40m (£33.7m) plus bonuses.

"Sporting refused all offers. [Now they will not be] discussing a new contract or sale.

"Maybe in the future when he is 30 years old and entering the final stage of his career Joao Mario can return to Sporting. He loves the club.

"Joao Mario [would] not have any problem in returning to Sporting."
