Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Physical Therapists I who plan, implement and perform individual therapy programs for the rehabilitation of patients.  Duties include, the following:  discuss treatment alternatives with physicians and other treatment staff to determine the most appropriate plan; observe and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment; record treatments, evaluations and progress; administer ultrasound, moist and dry heat, traction and massage, whirlpool, electrical testing and stimulation, and ultraviolet treatments; perform tests and measurements. This is a trainee classification.

We are currently accepting applications for Physical Therapist II, which requires a year of professional experience and a separate application.  Applicants are encouraged to apply for the appropriate level.

 The Modified Benefits Option with Increased Base Pay Includes:

  • Salary up to $90,106 annually
  • Health benefits and subsidy to offset the cost of insurance premiums - out of pocket cost as low as $6.35 per pay period for Blue Shield Bronze PPO Plan
  • Flex Spending Contribution - $25/pay period match in lieu of County contribution to the Retirement Medical Trust if Blue Shield Bronze PPO Plan is chosen
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) - Up to 216 hours annually  
  • Double time pay on 10 select holidays
  • Ability to change - To Full Benefits Option during the next annual open enrollment.

ARMC is host to a Rehabilitation Services Department that is dedicated to providing a supportive environment in which entry level Occupational Therapist can obtain exceptional acute care hospital experience in a university affiliated teaching facility.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT 
 
Positions require working various shifts; therefore, candidates must indicate availability for all shifts to be considered. Rotating weekend and holiday coverage may be required.

Physical Therapists I are eligible for promotion to Physical Therapist II ($5,631 to $7,746 monthly) upon meeting the minimum qualifications and receipt of a satisfactory work performance evaluation. Incumbents must promote within twelve (12) months or be terminated.

Minimum Requirements

License: Applicants must possess and maintain a valid Physical Therapist license issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs (Physical Therapy Board of California).

-AND-

Certification: Must possess and maintain Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Desired Qualifications

One year of experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist is highly desired.
