Oscar Leung Welcomes Daughter Karina!

On January 27, Lunar New Year’s eve, Oscar Leung (梁烈唯) and his wife Tina Lok welcomed their first child, daughter Karina. Oscar announced the news a few days later on social media, receiving not only words of congratulations but also new year’s blessings.

Tina and Karina were discharged on Tuesday afternoon. Oscar held onto his wife’s hand as he pushed his daughter, who was safely tucked inside a baby stroller that carried the initials “KL”. After helping his wife and daughter board the car, Oscar stepped back outside to give the press a brief interview.

The 37-year-old actor was very candid during his interview, admitting that he’s already thinking about having baby number 2. “The doctor told us that the mother is in her best shape right after postpartum recovery. Not only has the mother gotten used to the pregnancy process, but the kids won’t be too far apart in years.” (How is your wife now?) “She’s doing great! She can eat and sleep, but still feeling a bit tired. She’s breastfeeding, so she can’t stay outside for too long. Don’t want to catch a cold.”

Will Oscar be postponing his acting career to take care of Karina at home? “If the job doesn’t require too much of my time, I’ll take it. I’m still learning how to be a dad. Right now I only know how to carry her. My mother-in-law is going to teach me how to bathe her.”

  1. Congrats!

It’s too bad that Oscar couldn’t ride his semi-popular role in Tiger Clubs and the one with Sam Gor and Mandy Wong (as his wife). He’s a decent actor. At the very least, he tried to be different (though failed). I appreciated his portrayal in Line Walker but it was too bad that he got negative reviews. I much prefer him over Jonathan Chueng, the one who just got a BSA. He was alright at first then now all I see is one-expression, one type of character/performance from him lately.

    1. @jjwong Yea Oscar’s not a bad actor. Hopefully he will get some better roles. And luckily, Jonathan Cheung only won Most Improved Actor. Best Supporting Actor was Raymond Cho. Although I didn’t watch the drama that gave him this award, I’d say I’m glad he’s getting some recognition after all these years.

      1. @lyu310 You’re right. Jonathon won MIA and not the BSA. I stand corrected. Still, I don’t see him approved. He had practically the same roles except the one he was paired with a chic who was his body guard. Then again, they gave Grace Chan that award a couple years ago so…enough said lol. Anyways, hope both guys do get better and get more chances I suppose.

    2. @jjwong tote agreed with you. I a fan of Jonathan Cheung, i find him wooden and play same same boring character all the time.

  2. Congratulation! Love reading news like this. Hope Oscar will have another breakthrough as I actually like him as an actor.
